Olivier Giroud è stato uno degli uomini chiave della grande vittoria rossonera di ieri sera contro il PSG. Oltre a segnare il gol della rimonta milanista e a dare speranza per le sorti del girone, Giroud ancora una volta si è dimostrato un attaccante decisivo in queste tipo di partite. Ma ora c’è una curiosità per cui il suo nome sarà per sempre legato a quello di Mark Hateley, attaccante del rossonero degli anni ’80.
Sui vari social, i tifosi milanisti sono letteralmente impazziti per la curiosa somiglianza tra il gol di ieri sera di Giroud e quello di Hateley, in rossonero dal 1984 al 1987. Il francese ha dato la vittoria alla squadra di Stefano Pioli staccando di testa sull’ex nerazzurro Skriniar, regalando al Milan i primi tre punti in Champions. Hateley invece segnò un gol molto simile nel derby vinto contro l’Inter del 28 ottobre 1984, sovrastando Collovati e battendo Zenga.
Il fato ha dato anche un’altra coincidenza: Giroud il gol lo ha segnato ieri martedì 7 novembre, proprio nel giorno del compleanno di Hateley. Il peggio delle ultime settimane in casa sembra passato dopo la vittoria contro il PSG, e con questa rete l’attaccante della nazionale francese è entrato ancora una volta nella storia e nel destino rossonero.
